My last few days at home

Hi everyone,
I am cherishing my last 5 days at home like GOLD. Time is just going too fast. Tonight will be my last evening at the training centre with my tuition kids. I don't even want to think of it.

I have been making hand sewn hexagons for the top of my antique Singer sewing machine. This has been helping calm the nerves of starting a new job once again in such a short space of time. I started on Saturday and have been cutting and stitching hexies for the past three days. They are so easy to make.

I have also rearranged some in the following format. It is such fun to change and see the new combinations come to life.

Now I can start sewing all the hexagons together by hand. I'm not sure how to finish the back off yet. Making another range with different colours means it could be changed over for a completely different look. Christmas is coming up...a range of red material might be the way to go...
I'll keep you updated.
